Default Anyone have a 994 hazard switch they want to get rid of?

looking to find a switch that i can use in my 993 to connect a garage door opener up to and a lot of people said the 994 hazard switch will work great. Anyone have one they want to get rid of? I know i can buy a 993 switch from the dealer but they are like $50. Thanks. Scott

I think you are referring to the 944/968 switch. Its used in 1985.5 and newer 944s and 968s. The 968 version is red, the 944 version is black but illuminates red.

All these rectangular switches (the same shape as the hazard switch) are interchangeable from opening to opening (electronically, no), sort of a standard shape/fit Porsche used from the late eighties to late nineties. Check the part number for your 993 switch and see if it begins with either "944" or 968". If not, one froma 944 or 968 should still work although it may have to be mounted upside down (probably not, but maybe).

Hope that helps.

Good luck!
