drove it 5 years.... tons of road trips up and down the east coast... thenn i bent the car on a snowy day going 35 mph...

160 k miles... engine was pristine and would have gone another 200 k miles.

Let's be fair & compare what was available to us on this side of the pond.We all know that ROW car do look better, but what 90% of use are driving are the one seen below except maybe for little mods such as wheels/mirrors/maybe row signals but no majors body mods.So let's take a look at what I think reflect the reality of the 924s/944s/968s which was available to the common soul either on the US/CDN market.

1. Fiberglass front bumpers with bumpettes, driving lights, headlight washers. No bumper shocks, collapsable bumper brackets one with tow hook adapter.
2. Fiberglass one piece rear bumper with thin rubber protection, no bumper shock, collapsable bumper brackets, no side plastic pieces.
3. No side marker lights.
4. Small turn signal repeaters on front fenders.
5. Lower at the rear (US cars were raised).
6. Rear fog lights incorporated into rear light assemblies.
7. Extra 20hp for the base 944 (higher compression engine, cat delete, different chip programming).

I think that's it.
