@jb-kix, Nice dude! Hell ya, that would be awesome!

@haydenlewis, I know two guys that live down in Oregon. One lives just outside of Portland as well, the other lives in Redmond. Actually drove down and met up with Eddie, who lives right out side of Portland, then we both caravan'd down to Derek's place in Redmond, just this last summer. Had some bbq cedar plank salmon, a few beers, and took rides in each others Porsche's. Fun time. Couple pics

Derek has a few Porsche's. Thats his 911, his green 914, and he has a 924 that he just had a full CF intake mani made for it with ITB's. Its gonna be his track car.

Add one more Oregonian to the list - I live pretty far south in Coos Bay, but since we're so far from civilization anyways, I'm used to having to drive 2-4 hrs to do anything!

Damn, I wish I could go. I'm from Gig Harbor but in Florida now. This is a terrible place for these cars. It's flat and all the roads are straight and there's not a trace of anything scenic to enjoy. I really miss the PNW.

Sweet! More Oregonians!

Btw guys, AMH is doing the Washington thing planned for spring.

For summer, I'm setting up a run here in Portland, Or. Sunset Porsche does a yearly swap meet. So that would be a great meet up place, then hit up the roads near there (yeah, ten mins away from the dealership there is some really sweet roads, coinkydink? I think not! lol!).

plus, Brew Fest in July and a Mt. Hood run that is FUN. Ask AMH ; ) (btw, THIS time if we do the Mt. Hood thing, we go to the RIGHT! Stay to the RIGHT!! LOL!)

Mine is in the planning stages, Amh's is ready to go, just needs a date (and no snow!)

Oh ya, the Mt. Hood run is a good one. Lots of long stretches, and long corners. Fun ****! Next time should be better for me though. I will have the correct strut brace for my car, I now have all new suspension including sway bar bushings front and back, new MM's, and by then (even in time for the fun run I am planning) all new wheel bearings. Hopefully even new brake rotors all the way around.

Hahaha, and ya, I want to experience the "better" side of Mt. Hood 'Mental note' STAY TO THE RIGHT!

And yes to the NO SNOW! This is the worst part about the PNW. It could be near the middle of what is supposed to be Spring, and then suddenly snow. WTF!? Lol!

However! I do think it would be a pretty awesome site and experience to do a snow day meet. Everyone in their 944's with their good snow tires on. Actually, I think that would make for an EPIC day! There would HAVE to be video footage of a snow day gathering and cruise. Lots of in car AND pedestrian type footage. Oooooh yaaaaaa.

Update:

Here is the link to the route I have planned for this Spring, sometime AFTER the passes are clear. Starts in Marysville. Ends in Leavenworth.

http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=...eb4b56f4&msa=0

There are stopping points to take a cooling brake, or to take a stretch, or pictures, etc. along the way. Anyone know of any other good stopping points, feel free to put your idea forward.

There are a few more of us around... just not sure how many post here. Wipeout and I make the rounds occasionally. We've got a decent group of guys that race 944's around the region too. I know there is a decent group up in Seattle as they have met up at the track before while we were racing.

UPDATE! Alright, so I have found out that Cascade Hwy Pass is scheduled to open up the first week of May. SO, If the DOT is on schedule, and the weather should be getting progressively nicer over the next month or so, then this Fun run should be on schedule to happen either:

May 26th or June 9th

Here are two links on the DOT's progress on clearing the pass. It got hit pretty hard this year.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/wsdot/s...7629681048559/

http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/Traffic/Pass...pdates2012.htm

Also, here is an updated link to the route mapped out with stopping points, point to point driving directions. http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=...526287,3.56781

I figure this will allow any one that does plan to go to print out the mapped route and directions. Dont need anyone not making it all the way through because they get lost or fall too far behind Hahahaha. Like that will happen though

The plan is to have the initial starting point/meeting point in the Olive Garden/Tulalip Casino parking lot. Meet at 8-9 am. Hit the road at 9am. Make a stopping point right in Burlington for gas/snacks/B-room brake, what ever. Maybe another couple people will jump in at that point as well. Should arrive in Burlington at about 9:45-10.

The map has these stopping points. Lunch stop will also be the meeting point for the other half of the people that plan on joining in on this, in Winthrop. Looking over all the diner's and restaurants, I have decided that the Riverside Grill is the best bet, judging by consumer reviews, menu selection and just overall food type. Something everyone can enjoy for a good price.

Alright, I just had to get this updated for you guys. Save both the dates, even though only one will be certain, it's better to be prepared for either

I think the majority of us PNW guys are Oregon though, not Washington. Want to come down to OR for a coast run??
