PNW Spring FUN RUN UPDATE
Please tell me that some of you on here live in Washington! I have seen SEVERAL 944's driving around my area (Marysville to be exact), but have never really gotten the chance to pull over and talk to any of them, and none of them are on 944online Forum (sorry if thats against the rules to say on here), so maybe on here???
I have been on the hunt to find/locate all 924/944/968/951 owners in my area. I have been in the process of organizing a PNW Fun Run for some time in Spring, when ever the snow is done for good and the passes are clear to drive. I have a complete route already mapped out with stopping points/meeting points. I think it would be real great to meet the other water cooled Porsche owners around here, get a chance to see all the other cars, put faces to names of people I have spoken with on the other forum (I have been a member of 944online for several years now, sorry again if thats against the rules to say here), speak to people, hear/share stories, etc.
It would be one he11 of a road show to see a whole bunch of 944's, 924's, 951's, and maybe even a few 968's all traveling together too. Not something people see every day. Get lots of pictures over the whole day, maybe even video, well, who ever brings their own camera
It will be the North Cascade loop. Go up through Mount Vernon, over through Winthrop, drop down to Grand Coulee Dam, then come back down and around through Leavenworth. Leavenworth being the last actual stop of the day. Once there, I figure people can do what they want. Head home, stay in Leavenworth, what ever floats people boats.
So, what do you Washington people think huh? There are already several people I know that will be taking part in this once we determine a set date. A few might even be coming from as far south as Central Oregon, and as far North as Canada!

just the apparently little known joke about growing webbing in our extremities due to being in the nw weather. Plz keep us posted on the ride.
if not familiar there is a weekly exotics meet up on Saturdays in redmond with a decent porsche showing. we should all meet up there sometime. im into shorter drives than the cascade loop but open to it. thanks.

@JayL, when I figure out a date for it, I will be sure to update this thread with it, so keep your eye out for it, and you should be able to get your AAA taken care of :-)
@Elitethink, Hahaha, ok, I get it. Never heard that term before, but it makes sense ;-) And no, I was very much so un-aware of this Redmond exotics meet every saturday. Is this a rain or shine type of deal. I think I might have to go check this out sometime.
@Rich L., Nice man, I want to build a track car, just gotta have better income ;-)
@944meister, really? So do you drive a 951 or base model? With the wheels in your avatar, your car looks like a 951.

Though my car is street registered, it is a race car. I've done the drive you mentioned, but on a motorcycle. Nice scenic drive.
There are 944s around, but seem more rare than 911s of the same period.

@EliteThink, nice. Ya, send me a PM.
@944meister, sweet! I haven't seen a white 951 in Marysville yet, but a black one yes, just the other day actually.
@mclaudio, more rare to see than the 911's of the same period, DEFINITELY! The guy I bought my 944 from has a beautiful 911sc, same beige color too. I see 911's all the time.
