Pin seals also help keep the pins centred so they are probably useful even with the boot.

I was going to chime in and say the seals are color coded to the wire size they are for...

Blank seals are also available, and are clear!

What kills me are the prices (or difference in prices from one vendor to the next!)... but its all good!

But I love having to pop my hood and jiggle some wires to get going. I also have to do this to my car. <rimshot>

So for the DIY-er, where is the best place to get sensor side replacement plugs/pins, and are there any special depinning tools needed as well?

I have the Lindsey Harness, but my sensors (from 2008) still need to be wiggled... would rather buy the pin tool and the parts than new sensors (even the BMW ones at $70 each...)

*edit*

I bought the connectors. What a waste. I did the install, but not happy with it at all...

I found the Facet brand sensors for ~$40 each from Pelican... I bought two and put them in... Much more confident in those. Probably over-reacting to the wiring job, but just not happy with it after disassembling what was there, DIY here just isn't as good. So now I have two spares I suppose.

The Connectors are also found at 944online.com. Ian, has the 2 pin, 3 pin male/female, 5 pin and the Fuel Injector Harness ends. Ian is a Rennlist Business Sponser.

Default what is part number of the male pig tail?

HI,
i know this is old thread, but my connector hopusing for camshaft position sensor is broken.
I heard that it is made by Bosch, and guess other cars may be using the same one.
1. which else cars using the same connector?
2. Do you know what the part number is?
thanks in advance,
