that idea is brilliant. or just sell him the motor and start over with another car.... (i also think Karl should just drive the stink out of his new engine and let the chips fall where they may).....

back to your car; the truth is, even if fixed, it will be still be virtually worthless (compared to the original sticker). the same would be true about my car or anyone else's here.... due to the very low book values and nature of the injury and repairs (because there's plenty good tubs out there and extremely low demand)... this car is a total loss. i know it's hard, but you have to take the money, let it go and move on.

I may have to head that way if the deal goes through with finding my shepherd a new home. I have a guards red 86 turbo I'm parting out and I'll just bring you the back half.

How well do your doors close?

If they close, no extra gaps ect, just replace the back end. If they have issues shutting, chassis is most likely bent so you'll need a new body

Good luck

oh yes, I love the 968 rear conversion. I was talking with a guy on another forum. Turns out he just sold his 951 with rear end damage. Cheap. Talk about bad timing and having excactly what I want...just not at the right time. lol!

$575, i'm pretty sure the yard USAA called thought it was the same as an early and based the value on pure crusher weight. I was expecting to pay more.

All gaps are straight, doors, sunroof open and shut properly. Even the back hatch will open and shut now.

Im looking for a back panel to replace and I am leaning really heavily to the 968 conversion.
