I would bet they are knock offs.

Note they say Bride "Style", Recaro "Style" ect.

i noticed that

http://honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=2289464
this topic kinda goes both ways as far as knockoff brides being close to real and holding up ok over time

i wouldn't trust a knockoff reclining seat as far as i could throw one but the fixed seat i am still on the fence about

I couldn't get the link to open so I'm unsure of the pricing. I always like Corbeau seats and they have pretty reasonable prices from a reputiable seat maker.

i never really liked the look of the corbeau seats the bottom to back transition is odd and the name is to big/long, it makes the head rest look like a bill-board IMO

I wouldn't buy knock off seats period. Do you have a rollbar and harnesses to go with those fixed back seats?

Well first off I am in no rush to get new seats, just trying to find out what direction I want to go in at this point. I will probably go with a harness bar when the time comes. The reason for fixed seats is weight savings. The car is not a track car but more of a toy/weekender so no need for a cage.

The Corbeau Forza's are pretty confortable and light weight. Lots of autocrossers I know have them since they're light an under $300. I've also thought the GTSII's would look great in a 944,

If you get a knockoff seat, you best pray to God your car doesn't go up in flames. The reason those companies charge so much for the seats is because they are generally fire retardant, so buying a knockoff at a cheaper price may be good, but the fabrics making it will light up like nothing. I was reading something about that a while ago when I was looking into Bride knockoffs.

Just an FYI

hopps good advice but thats why i keep a fire extinguisher behind my driver seat.
i know the knock offs fabric is going to fade faster and rip easier, but what about the shell do you really think a fixed back(knock off) seat with a harness bar is less safe then stock folding seats?

don't know. The stock ones are made by a very reputiable manufacturer, Recaro.

The cheap fixed backs will shatter under heavy load.

I have seen the oem folding backs survive some pretty insane crashes.
