Nice job!

Looks like it's to buy an oil pressure sending unit?

Don't forget about Lart, he's probably got one on eBay... and a few kicking around the shop.

1bar=14.5psi=100KPa

Started:
1-6.5bar-Cold Start & Idle Enrichment
2-6bar -After Enrichment
3-5.5bar-Warm Idle
4-4bar-After 20 minutes warming up
5-3bar-Steady after some high revs and a short test drive

Verdict:
The "Grim Reaper" has casted a heavy shadow over my 951, but thank God it lives to see another day...

Thanks!!!
I probably should keep the adapter plate and connect another VDO unit and just hook up the wiring. I won't even bother removing the one from the bottom of the cooler housing. I noticed VDO goes for about $30.!

So which brand of oil pressure sender? VDO, URO(hope not), FAE, Napa?

The one in the car is FAE... To tell you the truth I am not too sure about these, and especially for the price, I am better off with VDO aftermarket with the 1/8 NPT threads which will go into the oil filter adapter!
I am thinking to purchase VDO oil pressure sender either a 0-80psi or 0-150psi, both versions have low pressure contact.?!?
Any one ever had a 0-150 psi sender working with the stock instrument gauge???

Well, just wondering because I bought a FAE unit for the 968 and the pressure would read lower and sometimes the low pressure light would flicker.

I don't know how old my sensor was since I bought the car with it about 5 years ago, but since I had this car, sometime after a hard run or even just in hot summer day, the gauge will read a little over 1bar but the low pressure light will flicker for like second or two.
When this post started, actually the gauge will read between 1 & 2bar but the light was constantly on! When I tap the gas it will flicker and It was mostly on deceleration!?!?
Now, I don't wanna be rude but I have red some posts about FAE being problematic and all, and they're made in Spain..., in my case might've been age!
Don't even wanna mention URO, the thing is manufactured mostly in facilities with no quality control, and I know this for a fact!!!

The Fae I purchased is new. The original 20year vdo seems to be more accurate for now.... but is starting to leak at the terminals so I will probably go OE on this. Best price so far is $102 for the VDO unit

Unless you get a brass fitting adapter to change the thread size and get one of the non Porsche VDOs in place of the original sensor, this will roughly cost you $60.
