Default 944S2 Engine Block Needed?

I managed to blow my head gasket and damage my block during the second practice session at the 48 hours of Sebring. Besides this screwing up my weekend (and budget), I now need a new engine block for my S2. I've been told either a 968 or an S2 block will work. Does anyone out there have one in good shape that I can buy or know of one that is available?

Try PMing Josh B. He dismantles 944s in GA, IIRC. How bad is the damage to your block?

I threw a rod and it went right through the block leaving a roughly 2" by 3" hole! Thus, a new block.
