Default head locator pin question

I am putting together a 1986 951. I did not dis-assemble the engine, so trying to piece this back together from parts diagrams and the porsche factory manuals. I have the bottom end and balance shafts in and am moving to the head. I know there is a locating pin for the head on the front right side of the block/head. I am looking at where the head meets the block and trying to figure out what the hole is at the rear of the block. Is this supposed to be a second locating pin? The parts diagrams that i have do not show 2 locating pins, so I am a little baffled. I don't want to put the head on until i know what this is supposed to be. Anyone know for sure what is supposed to be here if anything?
