I don't really know if it will be 2.5 at this stage. Due to machining dimensions and clearances it might be 2.7 or some other ratio. I presume when they have the stock items at their factory they will make a determination of the ratios they can cut on our racks.

I'd be interested in a power rack version.

I dropped off a rack at Quaiffe in April and they have a r&p set ready in it for me to pick up. Sorry but it hasn't been a priority for me so i didnt have them ship it back but I'm back in Europe Feb for a few months so will have it fitted and report back in the Spring.

No go, they were busy on other stuff to worry about my project. They did take all the specs so they have the measurements to make a r&p set. I'm back there in March and will touch base with them again.

I'd be interested if the "power" version was a quick enough ratio to be better than "de-powered" stock rack, versus just going to manual..

+1 on that. That is a very enticing prospect.

Any update? Just bought a 951 and the steering is like molasses compared to my Boxster and 996.

Default 944 quick rack

It's been a while since this post was active, but did the 944 quick rack happen? I am about to go down the same path for a rally car (manual steering rack) so if one can be purchased, it will save me a lot of work......
