Default Places to look for a 944

Back to square one since somebody else beat me to 944SC's car. No worries that's the way it goes sometimes. Anyways currently I have an eye on craigslist (my phone notifies me if something new goes up with "Porsche 944" in the title) but where are some other good places to look?

I'm also keeping an eye on this site's for sale thread.

Thanks guys

How about making a "Wanted to buy" post, that's eventually how our 944 found its new owner.......

ebay. give's a good cross section of what they're selling for, and more choice.

Yea seems to be rather lacking in my area though. I'll just keep on the lookout between the forums, craigslist and ebay.

Thanks guys!

I second sca037. Start a WTB thread and you will get plenty to choose from.

this is good advice. buying a 944 for a knowledgeable owner/enthusiast is a good way to start. please pay for a membership before you make the tread though

Who cares? If you find a good one, fly one-way wherever and drive it back. Don't think of it as an inconvenience, but a great adventure. Seriously. I've done this twice, am about to do it again, and it's among the most fun car experiences you can have. I found the car first and then figured out how to get it second. For my 951, it was a one-way ticket on Southwest to Nashville.

Have you tried the free Craigspal search program? It lets you search Craigslist nationally. CAUTION: May lead you to buying too many 944s.

Agree with you but,you don't see very many $1.5/2K decent 944s 924s for sale by RL members either here or Pelican and if you read between the lines this is the price range the OP is looking at, but maybe I'm wrong.A knowledgable/enthusiast will simply not let go his car at that price.

Yea that's the problem ernie... I mean I appreciate all the help and I'll definitely keep an eye out and hopefully find something that somebody is looking to get off their hands and get lucky, and I don't have a problem waiting around for a deal haha (and maybe bolstering my budget for cost up front in the mean time lol)

Thanks for all the help guys I do appreciate it

I found mine on craigslist. eBay has a lot of stuff but its usually not local, depending if you want to go out of town or not. I looked every day on craigslist for about 4 months before I found mine. I only called on a couple of them.

Yea Hollywood I think that's the plan, there's a ton of crap on there to sift through though but whatever it'll definitely be worth it when I find the car
