Long term a $1500-2000 craigslist 944 will likely cost more than a $4000 rennlist 944.

The more and more I read the more and more I realize this lol a great middle ground would be a 3k rennlist car but I doubt that'll happen soon so I think I'll just stay on the lookout and see what pops up... I don't plan on blowing the money on a craigslist car that is gonna need a lotta work if I spend it it'll be on something that's a steal (he says over-confidently lol)

Idk I have to try and re-work my budget and see what I can come up with b/c I really do want to pursue this and don't wanna waste my time with something that's just gonna be more of a PITA than anything else

I posted a want to buy here and some guy sent my listing to a guy on the Pennsylvania PCA site. I bought the car two weeks later. WTB is the way to go.

Try auto tempest it's a great way to search multiple Craigslist areas at once.

Good call, cool site thanks! I'll most likely put up a WTB thread as well, where's the best place to do that? I assume just in this section of the forums?

Hey Hockeyhead (great userid, btw)...

I'm shopping for Porsches in the Baltimore area and I've had my eye out for 944s. I talked to 944sc about his car and probably would have bought it if I'd got there sooner. There's an 87 944 NA in Hagerstown MD for sale; I talked to the guy last night and he says it runs and looks strong (he knows 944s) but he doesn't really have any records so you'd probably want to do the belts in about 10k miles. He's asking $3,500.

And I'm about to go look at an 89 S2, but that's probably not in your price range (and I want to see it first! ).

Anyway, I'll keep my eyes peeled for you down here..
