Default parking brake help

So I'm trying to engage the parking brake handle but nothing happens. I can't press the button in and it's not staying up when lifted up. It simply falls back down. I'm trying hard to press the button in (even banging it in a little) but it won't budge.

I've checked Clark's and nothing mentioned about it. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get it to work or what I can do to troubleshoot it?

Much appreciated.

Pull back the carpet around it and take a look. Maybe a bolt came loose or fell out. If you really need to get in there it required removing the seat. There's almost zero room to work in there without the seat removed.

Unscrew the **** from the handle a little... it may be screwed in too far...
