Default Thoughts on this 944 (new post added with different 944)

Hey guys,

Diggin around on Craigslist in my area and found this one... if you guys could take a look and give me a quick opinion just based on what he has listed.

I emailed him to try and see the car but no response yet. I know he wants to get rid of it b/c it's been posted 2 or 3 times in the last two weeks. So hopefully I can get a response sooner rather than later haha

Any comments/criticism is welcomed

I'm pretty sure that's someone on here. Don't buy the car until I've decided if I want it or not

It looks like a car that you could easily sink another $5k into to make it good. But at $1600 and running, sounds like it could be a decent purchase. Especially with the work already performed.

I hope you're being sarcastic. Otherwise, you're a jerk.

Yea the work already done is what caught my attention Aaron... just out of curiosity where else would you see the money being dropped. I mean I know I'd end up having to spend it but anything in particular? Besides the clutch which I'm sure would need to be done?

And I hope he's kidding too because this is a good find lol

Scott thanks for the info, I just PM'd him and hopefully we can meet up and chat about the car, good to know he knows what he'd doing though, always re-encouraging to hear that!

EDIT: if you have other ways of communicating with him scott would you asking him to check his PM's? He looks like a pretty regular user so I'm sure he'll see it lol

Looks like a nice car. $1600 is what I got my 83 for and it needed much more work.

Yea I'm trying to find the best mix between solid car and low cost up front (yes yes I know it's better to dump the cash up front than run into problems down the line lol) but that's why I figured I'd put the offer up here and see what you guys though.

Keith thanks for the input man!

In all seriousness you don't see too many deals like this. I would have driven down there the day it was posted if I did have my hands full with the other 2

That's what I'm gathering, I want to do some more research but at the same time I don't wanna let this slip by since it's definitely the best deal I've seen/heard of
