Default Woo-sah !!!

hi guys, was getting an intermittent fault causing rough acceleration and no starts on my '82 944 . tracked it down to f--ked ref. and speed sensors, parts arrived eventually yesterday.
Now for the punchline :- ref.sensor came out without too much grief but speed sensor would not budge at all.
after a few blasts with wd-40 it started to move, albeit only slightly, to the point where it was about 10mm out, then went solid again and half the plastic top bit snapped off. So im reluctant to do any more tonight.
As im sure your all too well aware, there is bugger all room to move back there let alone get any useful tools in.
So im stuck and would be appreciative of any suggestions/tips to remove it. regards, Mitch in the UK....

May be able to push it down into the clutch/flywheels housing and retrieve it through the inspection hole...
