It might be easier to get at the PS bolt with the headlights up (manually raising them). Nothing special needed for a replacement bolt, pick something easy to remove in the future.
Why are you soaking the resistor in vinegar? Vinegar (acid) attacks copper in the contacts.

You can buy bolts / screws / nuts at almost any hardware store. I buy mine at ACE as they have metric. Take the rounded off bolt with you to get the right size. If you have not checked out Clark's-garage.com do so.

Wow, nice buy! $1500, not bad for a S in good shape. Just a few quick tips, when you check your sunroof drains, pour some warm water down the drains and run some weed-eater line down them while you do it. I've done this a few times and it works great. Also, I feel your pain with your sunroof leaking, but I would suggest taking off the inner sunroof seal (the seal on the body) and putting some black permatex on it and putting it back on. I've found that some of the water leaking in my car came from the water leaking in around that seal. Good luck man, nice looking ride, give her some TLC and she'll be a great S example. Feel free to ask anymore questions, we'll be glad to help you out as much as we can.

I got a good replacement bolt with a metric head on it to replace my ugly one I pulled out. Still having a painful time trying to figure out how I'm going to access that bolt behind the passenger light. Are the headlights a pain the remove and reinstall? That seems to be the best idea I've got so far.
I got frustrated and moved on the the bolts below the dash. After smashing my head on the steering wheel five or six times I took out the drivers seat to get better access.

The goal is to do as much work on my own as I can so that I can hopefully afford the upgrades I'm wanting to install.
From the pictures of other 944's I'm gathering that I might not have stock seats in mine. How can I verify this?

In case anybody else is having troubles with cleaning their grounds I'm trying topost pictures of the ones that gave me trouble as well as explain how I did it. Here is a picture of the grounds underneath the dash. The link posted earlier in the thread showed an ok picture but with me being a newbie it wasn't as clean cut as I was hoping for. I took this picture laying on my back in the driver side floor after removing the seat. I also found it helpful to pull the fusebox into the engine bay to tighten the slack on the wires underneath. I hope someone finds this helpful.

So from everything I have been reading and trying it seems like removing the washer fluid reservoir is going to be the best way for me to access the ground behind the passenger headlight. I have searched for removal instructions as well as looking on Clarks garage but haven't seemed to be successful. Anyone have any tips? I do know I have the large tank if that helps.

It drops out the bottom, as I recall you need to remove or at least loosen the inner fender liner at the front. You'll need to raise the car to get it completely out, but to access the ground I don't think you'll need to completely remove it. There is a bolt down near the PS cooler as well as the one that is obvious on top.
