Default Engine cradle for removal?

Has anyone design or made a cradle for the engine when dropping it?
I've lowered mine to the floor, but haven't disconnected the hoist as it wants to roll to the one side.

I just used a furniture dolly and added some plywood to make a flat surface for the lower oil pan section to sit on. Then added some 2x4 shims to support the front edge of the oil pan.

I usually drop mine on a old rug and then slide it out from under the car. Use a piece of 2x4 or something to keep the engine from falling to one side.

Thanks all, I was trying the rug trick but it was problem of supporting the front of the engine.
I made a dolly myself and a couple of 2x4s and plywood to support the front worked great.

Very nice. Necessity is the Mother of invention. I'd show you a picture of my transaxle lowering jack, but the Dept. of Labor would probably have me arrested.

944hal, I need to work on that one also, I ended up just bolting a piece of 8inx12in plywood to the floor jack, need to add some supporting blocks.
