i think a nice tint with a good sun shade will really help extend the life of your dash. be sure to park the car in a garage whenever possible. not sure if they sell a product that moisturizes a vinyl dash and helps prevent cracking. i've read that products like armor all can actually accelerate the cracking process, but i won't say that for certain.

Thanks, all. So no concern about losing its classic look eh? I agree and think I'm going to get it tinted. I drive it a few times a week to work but it is garaged at home. I get a discount at a great tint shop here I've been to a few times before so I'll get this done soon. Thinking 30% all around as I usually do.

Tinting the rear hatch is a real bitch, only one guy here has ever been able to get one tinted in one piece without any wrinkles and bubbles. Use the best quality material you can, you don't want to do it again!!

Definitely, thanks. It's a quality shop, either Llumar or 3M I believe.

I had my 924S done in one piece in Arlington many years ago at a shop that's not around anymore. Just had the Turbo done in Crowley in September, they did three pieces, but it came out great. I can't see the lines at all.

Tint is great on any car. I haven't gotten my rear hatch tinted because the shop that did it was unable to do it right. They might have been able to do it in two pieces but I wanted one that I was promised. So they just did the other windows for $50. Pretty much a steal. I did 15% all the way around. When I get my hatch fixed up I'm not sure if I will go with 15% out back or 20%. Tint will help a lot. They make a UV block type film. Search the 928 forum about it.

I didn't even consider it being in different pieces, so we'll see. I think they can get it. They did flawless work last on my S8 around the window buttons that hold them in their tracks. I'm a pro-tint guy and usually apply it to any car I get.
