I think it might be my fuel filter, I have a new one just no time till tommrow or sat to put it in... And when I jumped the plug it was about an inch apart and got me good and was a thick bright spark. If I just put a pressure gauge on the fpr what should it read?

It's hard to plug a 944 fuel filter to the point the car won't start but it is worth considering.

The fuel pressure test is on Clark's but a flow test is quick and easy. If you had a blown FPR or damper you would probably smell gas and have wet plugs, which would be easy to spot.

It is possible to check fuel pressure with a few hoses and clamps and a cheap tire gauge, there is also a cheap pressure test kit from Autozone. You'd probably have to bodge the fittings to get it to fit but that's not hard.

ya ive been doing alot of reading and im actually leaning towards its my FPR being stuck open, ive been getting alot worse then normal gas mileage, and while running id smell fuel around the engine when i got out of the car but i havent thought anything of it... its just weird that the dme and FPR went at the same time opr maybe the fpr made the dme go bad?

I do not think the DME or DME relay went bad.

Time passed, or you crutched some other problem. However I read you had the problem with the jumper in place as well as a DME relay so it seems unlikely a DME relay is an issue.

Basic and through troubleshooting time.

Why not start with a flow test for the cost of a hunk of hose and a hoseclamp? I also do not recommend having a gauge in place all the time, too much risk of fire. You can test the pressure, if you are dead set on it, with a hose and a cheap tire guage that cost $4 at the auto parts store. Look for one that has an NPT nipple hiding under the fitting for the schrader valve. I have found these in bins near the checkout counter at the parts store for a few bucks. With the correct line and possibly an adapter you can bodge this onto the fuel rail for a quick test. However a test of the actual fuel pressure is not really what you need.

If you fuel pressure is a bit off, you car will still start and idle. If it is leaking, you'd probably have wet plugs and gas leaking out of the vacuum port. You might need an FPR, you might need a damper, or maybe a fuel pump. Maybe a filter. The most expensive and slowest way forward is to start ordering and swapping parts. For all we know your timing has slipped or something.

Typical troubleshooting. Check the plugs, check the timing, check for fuel flow, try a careful squirt of starting fluid maybe.

It could be as simple as water in the gas.
