I think it'll look better with round projectors vs. squared sealed beams. Good project!

I made my own buckets last year, I might experiment with these Bosch projectors time permitting

My goal was to be as close as possible to the original ones, but the buckets will be available cut or uncut, so you can mount the light you want.

Thanks

Very little progress today
Even if I’m not done on the cover, I’ve been thinking about the bucket and did few attempts and the result doesn’t even worth a picture.
But, I have more idea and will try to work on it this week as well as (hopefully) finishing the cover.
Also waiting on pictures and drawing from few members on different forums.
Thanks

Looking forward to the results...if you want to sell some of your experimental pieces...I am creating a Lemons/Chumpcar/HPDE track car and looks are not as important as function. Was thinking of installing side by side 3 inch halogens too.

You might want to check with Eric at Texas Preformance Concepts he is in your area of the country and has finished high quality and mature fixed sets both for the builder and someone that wants a bolt in kit affair.

I’ve been busy with work all week and didn’t have much time to allocate to the headlight project.
Here’s where I’m at:

Light
I received the 4x6 headlights that I ordered and I’m not very happy with the quality.
I will post pics late but would recommend to those who want or need good quality headlight to buy the Hella one.

Buckets
I’m still thinking about the buckets and might have found the answer, maybe…will see.

Covers
I’m about at 95% with the right side cover and 60% with the left.
I will try to finalize over the week-end and next week.

Thanks

I finally did some work on the headlight project today.
First, the lights are not as bad as I thought, but I didn’t try them yet.

Second, I believe that the right cover is good to go.
No pics to show simply because I’m out of plexiglass, I will try to go buy some this week.
The left one should be fast to do since I know what I have to do.

No change on the bucket, I still thing that I found how to do it, just need more time to build it.

Thanks

The square headlight looks so dated...why not try a double look something like this...it doesn't have to be this intricate...just not as boring as a square 1980's look.

you don't want a 1980's look in a 1980's car?

I for one, like the squared look.
