What size compressor (volume / HP?) do you need to run it?

I' have had one for years, it works good now not great but good. I had to seal all the seams and replace the hose from the gun. I also had to take the gun apart to stop air leaks. If I remember I just added some o rings thar were not there when new. Now the gun is tighter and leaks slowly when the trigger is off.
I just replaced my air compressor with a new one from Remco in town. It's a 5 HP 80gal. vet with 18cfm. I added the auto bleed and I'm looking to add the after cooler to pull 70% water from the air. My son is about to start body work on his 58. Back to the point the new compressor helped the blast cabinet. Plus it helped the 90 lb pressurized blaster for doing bigger parts. My old compressor would not keep up. It was a 125 gal hor. 5 hp. The motor and lung was from the early 80's and it was well used when I bought it from a shop in the early 90's.
I use glass bead in my cabinet. buy it bulk. look at your local pro compressor outlet. They will also have 5 or 6 types of media.
