Where can I get one of the pick-up tube re-inforcing brackets that help issolate the tube from vibration?
Do any vendors sell them or were they all made on a one off basis?

There was a post here in the last couple of months that dealt with that. Use your search engine (may be under oil pan gasket replacement) on this site and you'll find it. There was a guy that makes a bracket ready for welding.

Hey Phil,
Another way of looking at this is that the existing 25 year old pick-up tube is well into it's fatigue life and destined to crack sooner rather than later. The bracket in my mind is a band aid, not to mention that you don't know what adverse affects the welding of the bracket will have on the existing tube material and its weld. That effect is a long involved discussion but anytime you weld there is a local heat affected zone that remains as a weak point, unless proper post weld heat treatment is applied. In line with that concern, the original tube is brazed, not welded, which is a lower temperature process that reduces heat affected zone effect.
For my track car, I went the route of buying a new pickup tube. Should be good for many years. Chuck at Paragon was able to get me one, although I believe it might have been a special order.
That said, if you have been following my track car blog, I seem to be exploring every weird failure mode for 944 engines so maybe the best advice is to do the opposite of what I say![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
