Suspension setting and excessing tramlining
I would appreciate some thoughts from those who have played around with suspension setting, ride heights and its affect on increased tramlining
I have put 18" twist (frt 225 wide) on my 944 Cab w/ M030 suspension and lowered it about 3/4". Planning some track time (which has yet to materialize) I decided to increase camber to -1.5 degree (swag starting point) and kept the caster around the stock +3.5 degrees and toe is 0. The result has been some significant tramlining which makes driving the car very unpleasant on less than perfect surfaces.
As I never really got to drive the car before making the changes, I am not sure if this is an inherent issue with the 944 and wider tires and before experimenting with settings, I wanted to get feedback on the primary culprits (tire size vs camber vs caster vs ride height vs toe).

Isn't 18 is a bit big/heavy for a track car? I run light 16's. What profiles are you running on those 18s? The combination of a change in overall wheel diameter and lowering will cause issues, especially at the front. Are you A-arms still parallel to the ground or do they slope up towards the hub?

^^LOL i thought the same thing...
OP, check your tires as well - i just swapped out my tires the other day on the front, the old BFG tires would grab onto any road imperfection and try to drag me into the bushes...the new falkens ride straight and smooth...
