What are some things my P-car garage must have?

BEER COOLER!! (aka medicine when you're frustrated)
+1 on the pandora.
also, grimy old laptop would come in handy as well for searching for things (clarks, forums, porsche shop manuals on the cpu) would be handy (and save on gloves)

go all out and get a lift...yea you heard me, a lift.
for a normal sized garage, they make drive on lifts, they only sit about 1ft off the ground, but they go up about 3ft with center extension to lift the chassis to do tires/wheels.
tool storage, you can never have enough tools, so you need storage for them. you said you have an air compressor and accessories for it.
shelving units or wood shelving to put on the wall for spare parts or new parts that are going on the car. a parts washer would be a nice thing to get as well. an engine support to, goes across the engine bay and holds the engine up, works well for subframe removal.
tire rack, for spare wheel/tire sets. they're like 150-300 depending on the size. tirerack's are 200 and hold 4 or 8.
work bench with a vice on it, maybe a bench grinder and wire wheel. a desk or something to put a computer on, those netbooks that sell for 2-300 bucks are pretty decent for internet access.
in addition to a drop light, a light bar, hangs the width of the hood, and doesn't need a hole to grab on to

+1 on the lift. They are cheaper then you think and make life so much easier.
Another thing I often see over looked is a good shop vac. you will learn to use it in so many ways.
I also reccomend splurging on a couple of nice ratchets. The higher the tooth count the better. I prefer Snap-On but really any name brand with a tight action will work.

matco, not snap on, same warrenty, half the price, snap on 3/8" ratchet is 72 teeth right now...matco is 70...not a huge differnce for $65 vs 120-130. good tools are a way to go. craftsman is ok, but the void the warrenty for the dumbest things ever.

+1 on quality tools.
Though I'd like to add it is nice to have some "cheaper" tools that you grind/shape/weld to customize into a special tool. I had an "ok" 12mm wrench that I ground down for my exhaust bolts on my L series Datsun engines. What a time saver. Yes it weakend the wrench, but I only used it for those bolts so it got very little heavy duty service.
