Default Pics of 1987 944"S" Engine Bay?

Hey there 944 board! I believe this may very well be my first post on here?

Recently, I've acquired a "948" project which began life as a 1987 944S - I took out the V-8 and crazy clutch setup and have purchased a healthy '87 "S" motor. I intend to turn everything back factory, with the exception of the AC system.

Does anyone know of a good source for detailed pics of an earlier "S" engine bay that I could use for comparison? I have a good 3-4 months to get this together as it's been sold to a fellow Rennlister up in Maine who is absolutely taken by the paint job on the car and the meticulous work I've done thus far in the interior and such.

Any help you can give would be great.

ALSO, there are 17" "Turbo 3.6 Speedline" look-a-likes on the car, they are not factory wheels that I can tell...and all I can find is info. on 18" Turbo 3.6 wheels by RH. I'd like to buy two outer rim halves due to "curbing".

If anyone is able to help me out with finding the manufacturer of these that'd be great as well, the new owner loves the wheels (they ARE cool) and one of my tasks is to get 'em fixed.

...I will pull them off the car to see if there is any info. on them here shortly.

Some of the speedline look alikes are 1 piece wheels... post pictures of the wheels and I am sure someone can help... also pictures of the backside of the wheels should help!

As far as S engine bay pictures.. there are plenty on here, and other sources... I google image searched and came up with more than a few high res S engine bay shots!

Butters, I still have the V-8, just had it rebuilt at a local machine shop to put up for sale...it's a 400hp "de-stroked" 377 build.

Dillon, thanks for the pics, you too ernie, nice engine bays indeed! ...I thought there was something above the light bar/radiator, guess not - cool.

JohnKoaWood, they are actually 3-piece, made in Japan with the "JWL" and "VIA" logo, which from what I read up on is better than a TUV certification? I can't seem to find a manufacturer, they are 17" which seems odd, at least they have the JWL cert. - hopefully I can figure out where to get an outer wheel half.

I'll post pics, I took some tonight, including the rear of the wheels with some stamping, none of them seem to be a manufacturer's name though. Again, I'll post pics as soon as I get time to load them onto my space on Rennlist.

the stock intake sits close to the headlight bar and bolts on to the hood latch piece of the radiator support

Thanks for the tip Butters. I'm certain I'll run into several "what the hell goes here" moments while reassembling as I've never worked on an "S".
