John, thanks for the tip!

Here are some pics of the wheels, I wish the discussion boards had the same "upload from hard drive" picture posting like the classifieds do!

Some of the stamps read:
"VIA JWL" - Japanese Lightweight Wheel Certification logo and from what I understand, the "VIA" stamp is their "TUV" cert.??
"FIRST"
"95..."
"Made in Japen"

I cannot figure out a manufacturer...I have PM'd Thatcher via Pelican, guess I can PM him from here as well.

What makes these wheels different from most others I've seen is that they are 17" - one of the pics (from above) is of one of the rears that has a pretty healthy "snag" in the outer wheel half - it doesn't show up very well - I'd like to find a replacement...otherwise, the wheels clean up quite nicely...I just haven't cleaned them in about 3.5 years!

Not 100% sure but by the marking in the back those are aftermarket repro wheels. An OEM wheel will have marking such as these here with the little fox figure which is Porsche trademark. Plus more often than not size & offset will be stemp on each side of the valve stamp. Also another Porsche trade mark will be the triangle with the two figures inside as seen on Fuchs wheels.Like I said not 100% sure can some wheels Guru here confirm this.

Oh I know they're not Porsche wheels, they are Japanese aftermarkets - as a matter of fact, Thatcher just advised me that they were made by Kenesis - BAM!! How can you beat that?

We're arranging getting an outer wheel half - thanks for the tip, I knew you guys would come thru for me!

WOOT!

I found a thread on pelican talking about the 17 inch Kinesis 3 piece wheels that looked like the speedlines... thought it might help!

Glad you got it figured out, and I hope Thatcher can hook you up!

OH.. and to upload pictures from your harddrive you have to "go advanced" in the reply box... doing this opens a new page with your reply box, and below it a button to upload pictures!

DOH...wrong pic, guess it worked though?

At least it's "car related" - that's my prized 1993 "High Speed II...the Getaway" machine.

You're not a MAN if you didn't notice the machine first.

Haha, me too...my Mother-in-law hired that chick for her Husband's 80th B.D. Thanksgiving weekend...after the "show" I took her out to the shop to show her my machines, as she saw one "blinking" when she pulled in the driveway and asked about it - I made her a deal: "FREE Pinball" if you pose with my High Speed II machine...after all, she was wearing a little "Police Woman" outfit...how perfect.

MAN, is that stupid little rubber cover that goes around the hatch lock really $20 or so??

Having fun searching for interior parts and some "trim" items to get this car back together, it's looking nice but some of the "little" stuff is expensive!

I'll post some pics here shortly, pure "944 ****".
