Default Bosch Uni-Tester (Breakout box), anyone ever use one?

Was talking to my friend a few weeks ago about the engine wire harness condition on most of these cars and turns out he has the Bosch UniTester, otherwise known as a breakout box. Pretty interesting piece of equipment. Basically this allows you to monitor all signals being sent to the DME while the car is running.

I havent played around with it yet, still need the instructions for it and hopefully will find a test plan for the motronic specific on the DME / KLR used in our cars. With the trusty Fluke 867b ill be able to check out pretty much everything. The only copy of the instructions my friend had are in German, unfortunetley the microfiche's that came with the box were accidentally thrown away... but my buddy has been in contact with a fellow that still has all the documentation. Just trying to get the one specific for the 35pin DME on our cars. Hopefully we get lucky . I am mostly using it just to play around with, kind of a cool piece of 1980's diagnostic tech.. sorta like the grandfather of OBDII.

Here is the 35pin adapter harness that plugs inbetween the DME and UniTester.

And here is a little blurb about it on FRWilk's page..
