Nice video Van - I can't wait until I can go back to LRP. Out of curiosity, what suspension setup does your car have?

Rudeboy42 - you should definitely sign up next year. These cars are great for DE's, and, if the event looks full, I've had good luck getting in off the waitlist

Some secret sauce and mild mojo. Seriously, it has Bilstein (either escort or firehawk) shocks in the front, and yellow Bilstein heavy duties in the rear. Torsion bar size and front spring rates are unknown, but my guess is about 30mm and 400 lb. Mostly rubber bushings. Tarret adjustable sway bars.

Thanks. I'm thinking about getting Bilsteins for my car, but I may go for softer spring rates as I will want to keep my car as a street and track car, and I'm assuming that 400 lbs springs and 30mm bars would be too stiff for the street. Does that sound right or do you think your setup could be driven on the street?

400/30 is probably close for that car. However the front could be as high as 500lbs. I believe the PO was toying with springs that high infront at least at one point in the past.

Bilsteins vs Koni are perfernce thing. I figure you can turn the same times with either shock. There is more time in a good alignment than which shock you chose. Of couse beyond that driver is even more critical.

As for being too stiff for the street remember Van's car is somewhere close to 2600lbs with him in the car. That means about 2420 lbs empty or a good 400-500lbs less than stock. Don't discount the importance of that weight savings. Also remember 500lbs less than stock means a 400/30 set-up is infact alot stiffer than if would be used on stock weight car. The effective spring rate increases as sprun mass decreases.
