Default 944 track video

I just came back from a great 2 days at Lime Rock with my new 944. What a great car it is!

Anyhow, thought you'd enjoy some video from this afternoon:

Nice! I was going to go watch the DE today, but I have an engineering exam coming up this week and I didn't want to drive two hours to stay only for a small amount of time. I guess I will have to watch my uncle in his black S2 at another DE. I use to like to watch your Turbo S at the yearly limerock club race.

I love limerock. Nice times. Do you think there are any 2.5 NAs that can break one minute?

The only time I was there I had to drive my father's big oaf C5 A6 2.7T. My driving sucked and I could only manage a 68.4

I believe your uncle (Paul?) was my student!

Not really... This car is very well set up. And it's a blast to drive. Believe it or not, it's nearly as fast (lap times) as my turbo was. For example, I did a 1:02.9 yesterday (the 4th day I've ever driven the car); and after 12 years of driving the turbo, my best time at Lime Rock was 1:01.7.

That's him! Small world. Hopefully once I finish college in a few years, I'll do some DE events with my red S2.

Not shocked at all about time difference. NA cars prepped to spec levels are really fast for their limited power levels. The weight reduction and suspension work make up for alot of hp loss compared to the turbo cars. Certainly straight away speeds are down, but corner speeds are up.

Van glad you enjoyed the car.

Man I can't wait to try some DE. I was going to go to this same event but by the time I went to register it was already full. Oh well, there's always next year.

Looks fast Van. Wish I could have made it.

FYI - If I drove your line through Big Bend and the left hander I'd take heat for not using all the track. I'll try your way next time I'm out. My car seems to like it there anyhow.

There are some corners where the reduction of distance makes up for "not using all the track".
