When you get into the high RPM range does it feel like hitting a wall?
Does it sometimes feel like some of the power is suddenly lost?
What about starting? Is there an issue?
These are all related around the fuel pump, at least it was for my car.

if it's bump related and when power draw is high, it could be a poor ground or connector. If a connection is poor or loose, it has a lot of resistance. As current draw goes up(high load) voltage drops, and this could be cause.

a mate of mine looked after all the polygram artists when they toured, so knowing I was huge PE fan he got me a signed copy of the he got game CD. That's as close as I have gotten to Flav lol

I'd check main engine ground behind engine at firewall and also anything related to the fuel system(have to ask the experts here what else)
peace
