99% sure it's your battery tray. Chances are you'll look under the battery and find rust/holes. the good: there's tons of threads on here of how to fix it.

Nasty, I believe these guys about the battery box BUT, I have a leak there and it is not the battery box. I haven't found my leak source yet. It comes and goes. For instance mine sat out in that rain all last night and no leak. But that last big rain we had filled the passenger side! I'll be intereested to see what you find.

Good luck. Where are you anyway? I'm over here on the MD Eastern Shore.

There is a tube that runs under the passenger side a-pillar. (the thin interior strip to the right of the windshield. It comes loose and just drains right into your cabin. Mine did the same thing...

My alarm got fried because the water entered the snorkel where the radiator fan wires go through the bulkhead to the ballast resistors. Make sure both snorkels slope down away from the bulkhead. Also check the tiny plastic strip above the ballast resistors. No 17 in this drawing. It keeps the water away from the wire passages in the bulkhead.

Hey! I know the way to Lewes with my eyes closed. I have a full service garage here in Easton, so I'm at your service if needed. I have about the same number of 944 owners here and I'm aways trying to catch them when I see them in traffic. This 1 particular white-haired turbo owner has eluded me twice. I've been trying to give him a business card, not race him!

It's good to know another owner nearby. If you want to meet and talk 944 I'm in. PM me sometime.

Good luck with the leak. Let us know where you find it!

Mine leaked there once, on my passenger side (your drivers side) and when it rained again it never dripped again. i had a look at the possible spots it could leak from under the bonnet and it didn't make any sense. 1.5 years later no leaks.

weird. i had rust holes in the drains of my sunroof in an old 924. they formed because the drains were blocked and they were too far gone for a cheap fix. i've had 2 sunroof-delete cars since now :P

I was just in bed thinking..in the Hamptons where im from ppl use this rubber on there roofs its 1.8 inc thick and some come with a sticky backing you can peel off... seeing you could cut it to shape i think its a way better idea then sheet metal and all that crazy stuff...measure the ***** area cut it to the whole shape of the battery area and put it down...ill look into where you can get it and talk to a roofer and if i buy a big roll ill make as many as i can and send to anyone who needs or wants free...ill make template's for each year..and cut 5 or six for each year thats different
