What is the normal battery current draw on a 944?
I've been searching through the archives tonight and have seen a few different answers to this question. Clark's says up to 0.060 amps, Iceshark (RIP, buddy) says ~0.050 amps, and several people seem to report 0.008 to 0.030 amps.
My '87 951 with stock everything (including the radio) and no alarm (factory or aftermarket) draws 0.050 amps. It's been this way for the 8 years I've owned it. It can usually sit for 2 weeks and start with no trouble. 3 weeks is pushing it to the limit.
Is this normal, or should I able to do better with some trouble shooting?

Clarks says 65mA (.065A) is the MAX discharge rate. This number is too high.
The test should be done with the car doors closed or the reading will be off due to the interior lights and door buzzer.
On both of my 924Ss, I get about 9mA current draw. Clock and radio presets.

An interesting phenomenon with these cars is that if the hood is open (car unlocked) the current draw jumps dramatically. Perhaps something to do with the alarm circuit?
