If you have an issue you can't do yourslef, DART auto in Denver (close to Northfield Stapleton mall) is a good independent porsche shop. I took mine there for an alignment recently. They're pretty cool guys and they do work on the 944 spec race cars, so they know them fairly well.

 

Doc - You still use a radiator in that thing? I figured you had some sort heat transporter that just beamed the heat into someone else's car.
Sounds like I might be able to get the back off without removing the cam tower. What I don't know is if they are both leaking or not. So I'm going to try to replace the back gasket, then see if it is good or not. Even if that takes care of mine, I'm always up to helping out.

Sorry to hear that. I wish I could beam all the heat into someone else's car, that'd be cool! Haha...

 

I did my belts and front seal this summer. The front seal is leaking again, so I am going to replace it again soon. If someone wants to have a front seal day and try to crank out both cars I am in.

if the repair is that white cat hair looking crack, I don't know that I would groove and weld that. the repair would be cosmetic at best given the lateral forces there. Looks like it is cracked on both sides? - pm me if you need.

 

The other pic shows the piece completely swung out of place to show the length. It is completely broken off, not just cracked.

First, I had forgot that I had used Len's Welding in Littleton a few years ago to repair an aluminum oil cooler, which has held up well. I took the strut brace to him and he did it for $20. I highly recomend him.
2nd, I replaced that gasket at the back of the cam tower and my problem has changed. I had a slow drip onto the exhaust which caused a bunch of smoke for the 1st few minutes. Now it's not a quick to start smoking, but smokes much more and almost continuely. It's loosing more oil, too. I looked at it from the bottom and it is still coming from the same area, but the new gasket looks dry. So I have a question. I only had 3 bolts in mine, but there were 4 holes for bolts. The 2 near the bottom are very close together. Is it suppose to have 4 bolts in it, or just 3?
