Default Need a Late OPRV/Cooler Housing Alignment Dowel

Alright, I've got the beginnings of milkshake-residue the bottom on my oil filler cap and a liitle bit of tiny bubbles in my coolant overflow, and I am thinking this is Headgasket time (40k orig miles, and never been apart). So long as I'm using my 'credit card' (or "in there", you choose), we're going to do the cooler seals as well to prevent the likelyhood of a proper milkshake from developing.

The car is an 1988 non-S Turbo, with original engine and the later one piece oil pressure relief valve. I can't find the Porsche tool available anymore, and the aftermarket one is NLA also. OPRV 944 107 035 02 uses special tool 9262/1.

So, do you have one, and are a kind and trusting soul who would like to see it rented out for a few bucks? I would treat it better than my own and if you so choose, send you back a random part you may be looking for that I've stashed away from over the years. Please let me know, I want to get started this weekend.

That is a generous thing to do Darwin. Nice.

Rude944,
Here is a recent post covering what you need to do and how to do it:

I'll keep doing it until I get burned. So far so good :-)

I hope the slate stays clean, and it helps out fellow listers. So far it's been to 5 states!

You won't get burned Darwin. I was where you are but 8 years ago and loaned all kind of tools, services to RL'ers. Not a single one I can complain about. Did you try the Curil T on that tiny leak we talked about?

I won't burn ya for the sake of the list. I like social order.

I kinda like the head gasket job... get to see those beautiful cyl walls and feel like you've really accomplished something in one day. I've done so many over the years that it's kinda a natural thing. The cooler housing is kinda frustrating, tho... another WYAIT disaster waiting to happen. Downside risk is a b!tch.
