Is this what you would consider gunmetal?

original, gunmetal (but a tad darker than above) or black. only. the current grey is wholly awful.

yeah yeah i know. the PO had these on his white 964 track car...probably looked decent on his, who knows... got a good deal on them and figured i could paint them, now here we are!

so it seems the consensus is gunmetal or original...

Eric, i really like the color of those! I wonder if it would be too dark though on my black car...

That idea may spring into action when I repaint my car Sienna Red: IMO you can only have the gold with a metallic red..

Ok,this is getting very confusing,so lol I'm got to step in & try to take the purple HAZE out of your brain.I know everybody has it's own taste when it come to wheels colors, your car is not red/white/yellow/ect ect ,It's black & in order for it to look good you got to match the rigth color wheels to it.So either you go oe or you go with a black center /polish lip with red calipers. This was my 944 with center black Fuchs/polish lips & polish lugs.I sincerly think this will be a great combo for your black 968.I wish the heck I could photo shop that combo on your car but I can't.So in the meantime here is a black 951 BC/PL.

Have you considered white? I didn't like it at first, but, it's growing on me.

i did think about white actually. what ended up changing my mind was how little attention i would give to cleaning the wheels... which means they would look like crap after about a week... same could be said for orange wheels as well i guess...

Easy, Ernie. you should know logic has no place with me. lol. point taken though. i think you're right... i was trying to pull off an early 90's club sport look but in the end people might just think im following a honda fad...

so i think im down to these:
1. OE silver
2. gunmetal
3. a relatively dark bronze/orangey gold color... i think it would be subdued enough to not like ricey while still being a little different. a "loud" track wheel that could still be driven on the street without blinding people...
