Default How to turbo you NA for only $3500

How to turbo your 944:

Step 1: remove your engine

Step 2: buy my turbo S engine for $3500 (I can provide you with intercooler, hard pipes, exhaust, wastegate, and computers for extra)

Step 3: install your new engine

For $3500, you get my engine (with a broken air box) - pics below, and below them are the engine stats and a video showing it runs.

The engine has about 13k miles on it since a complete rebuild. It's a n '88 turbo S - M52 engine code.

Here's it's history since the rebuild:

115,263 miles, May 17, 2004, Rebuild engine
-New seals, gaskets and o-rings
-Copper head gasket
-New rings
-New rod and crank bearings
-New intake valves
-O-ring head
-Machine cam box with inspection holes for indexing
-Adjustable cam sprocket
-New timing and balance shaft belts
-New oil thermostat
-New turbo thermostat
-Flywheel lightened by 3 lbs and balanced
-New pilot, throwout and release fork bearings
-New throwout bearing guide tube
-New clutch hydraulic hose
-Thermal wrap on headers
-New spark plugs
-New O2 sensor

Then, oil changes at:
115,600
116,064
116,698
117,876 (with a retension of the timing belt)
119,227
121,779 (another retension of belts)
122,980 (new AFM, knock sensor and cycling valve)
123,738
124,651 (new water pump and thermostat)
125,773 (rebuilt K26/8, anneal copper head gasket, new belts, rebuild throttle body, new valve springs)
126,650
127,250
128,356

It's currently at 128,835 - mostly track miles.

The engine currently runs (see video) and makes excellent oil pressure - 5 bar cold, 3-4 bar hot at 6k RPM (on track), over 1 bar hot idling (in pits).

This has been a strong reliable engine. And here's my most recent dyno run - stock boost, with and without a lindsey boost enhancer (that will come with the engine):

The car's bent from an accident... nothing's going back in

I'm buying an NA 944 race car to replace it.

For you Spencer, $4k. Seriously, I'm not interested in spending the time to take apart a good working motor - on principle and because I have too many other projects going on.

Tempted for my 88na, but I really need to sell it to buy track parts for 968. Do you have any suspension, safety or other stuff for sale?

PM me if you do

Will
