That is the question Billet parts will never be a cheap as a plastic part and adds weight over plastic
Not trying to talk my self out of business just gaging what people think, we have lots of other things to work on but if people are interested and it makes sense in Billet we will make it.

Forme it all depends on the price. It would be worth it to me to spend a few more $$$ for billet. When I remove mine I find myself holding my breath....thinking about the 25 year old plastic I am dealing with.

These start to fade and get road-rashed very quickly because of where they are. I am on my second set in five years and have two sets in perfect condition as spares. Powdercoated billet would be a better option, I'm all for making stuff better. It really depends on price plastic v. billet. If I have to pay $25 a piece for plastic I would pay $50 a piece for billet instead, but that's me.

The ones in Germany are $530.00 plus shipping, in case anyone is interested.

I would go for a billet piece if the price were right just for the durability factor alone.

Making billet ones requires quite big piece of aluminium for one set. Then there's CNC process, color either powder coat or Anodizing, so set of four would easily cost 400-500$ to be profitable for a producer.
Plastic ones i offer can arrange in variable pricing, more buyers means cheaper price. Set of four (just one set) is 200$ + shipping
