This is the usual place for a compressor leak.

If you want to do a full compresser seal rebuild here is a kit from Griffiths

http://www.griffiths.com/shop/index....roducts_id=190

Griffiths has an AC help page and technical info on R134a
http://www.griffiths.com/achelp/

If you feel you do not want to rebuild the compressor--V2Rocket can rebuild your compressor for a modest fee.
Thanks, John. You are, as always, a treasure chest of information and a downright nice guy.

Regarding the compressor reseal kit though, on the site I posted you can get the same kit (sans c-clip) for the 10P15 compressor for around $15.

This is exactly why only certified technicians can buy R12... you've got a big hole and you are venting it into the atmosphere. Better not let Al Gore find out.

I thought that you had to be certified to be able to even touch it and R12 costs like a ton of money. Another way the government is trying to weed out old cars.

Yes, I did see the kit --("O" rings only -metal seal NLA)
http://www.acsource.com/gasketsetkt-...3c10p15c1.aspx

Buying both , the case kit and the front seal kit is a good buy.

The Griffiths kit does include the front shaft race. If the compressor shaft race has any groove, it will ruin a new front shaft seal.

Thanks and put me down for 10 more boxes of Girl Scout Cookies
