Its a 968 head. They're the only ones with the sensor boss in the intake side oil galley.

AHHHH, good catch... the 3rd tensioner lug must have been removed to allow mounting the tensioner setup...

Default Yea fortysixandtwo

fortysixandtwo is the GRAND WINNER (finally!). Prize is your choice of a VCR or 8-track tape player.

JohnKoaWood: Not a 2.5 nor a 2.8. It's a 3.2.

Yea, but I challenged it as a guess. He didn't say WHY it was a 968 like fortysixandtwo did. Oh, okay, you two guys fight over the prize. Remember, there's gift tax just like Opra.

whalebird: The additional bearing on the rear supports the last lobe(s) rather than having them cantilevered like Porsche did. Not much of an issue until you go big cams, spring pressures, and RPM.

Very cool project, I've always liked your stuff.

Off topic, does anyone have a VCR available? Seriously. My kids watch a lot of VHS tapes, but our VCR is dying.

Nice build up.
Why have you chosen mechanical belt tensioner with S2 style extra idler roller over 968 Aisin made "hydraulic" tensioner? Are those ITB runners modified Porsche items from oem intake or are they unique cast ?

Olli,
The block is an S2, so the belt tensioner/wheel arrangement is S2. The intake runners are bespoke cast. I'll post some pics of the entire induction system shortly (gotta get some work done). It's pretty sick.
