Good evening gentlemen! (or at least it is here)
Hopefully by now I'm a confirmed paid-up member of the 'list - despite my lurking here for a few years now.
So, I'd like to sell a Euro bumper - or a few actually.
In short, I'd like to start making repro's of the euro bumper in fibreglass - or carbon upon special order. The ancillaries - the corner trim, and bumper pads could be moulded as part of it, or perhaps reproduced as separate items.
Who would be interested? What would you pay?

Rear is relatively easy, the front would be an ambitious project, it is a complicated piece with 16 fasteners built in to hold blinkers, driving lights, etc. You would also have to do custom brackets.
The other thing is that they are plentiful and cheap in Europe. I have had a few shipped over from the UK for less than $400 with brackets, lights and including $120 shipping and they only needed cleaning up a bit and repainting.
I really like the look of the Euro na front compared to the US version, and it was the look Porsche originally designed for the na before US regs spoilt it. Though the US is better from an impact point of view, those shocks really do protect the car.

one time, i bought a damaged one for $10, and the shipping was like $170 from UK lol
i resold it for iirc $160 shipped. i didnt think the looks were worth the loss of crash protection.

I've ALWAYS wanted a euro front bumper. Makes the NA look so much better. It does seem like it'd be complicated to reproduce however.
Is the euro rear bumper on the turbo different than the NA? Or are you talking about the rear valance that is the same here in the states?

If I could find a euro bumper in good shape with rubber trim and mounts for $250, I'd buy it right now.

Ok, so there is some interest.
I'm talking about the euro front bumper - like this one on my car - or the one magk posted up, when stripped down.

The bumper is already fibreglass on the euro car - considerably lighter than the US version, and my repro would probably be a bit lighter again.
You'd be very lucky to get the whole lot shipped for $400 including lights, trim and mounts as the driving lights go for $125 in good used condition, and I've seen the corner trim going for $175 each. Bumper pads are $65. Etc. So if you want the genuine bumper - and can find one in good condition with all the bits, and you see it for $400 go for it. They are getting more and more scarce...
As for what I'd like to offer - it's all down to what the demand is.
I could faithfully reproduce each of these parts (you're right MAGK it's not that easy to get the mountings right) or I could make something similar that mounted more readily available driving lights - etc. Your suggestions are welcome.
I could easily do the rear bumper - I've actually removed the rubber strip on mine as it was a bit munted - and it looks much cleaner in my opinion. That rubber strip is hard to find and expensive too.
My aim is to build a range of fibreglass repro's - perhaps this isn't the best place to start, but it's what I have on hand.

Euro bumpers are not fibreglass. They are special plastic with fibre, but not polyester, like fibreglass is.
I have several oem euro rear bumpers which i would like to trade. I am looking for 968 door handles/mirrors for son's project 951.

Oh really? How do you know? They certainly seem harder than polyester at the mounting points. I was thinking to mate an external fibreglass shell to plastic hard points / light mountings in a reproduction.
