Default N/A Calipers on a VW Caddy

This is kind of off-topic but I'm wondering if I could take the N/A spindles, calipers, and rotors with some different wheel hubs and bolt them to an old VW Caddy. I know this VW/Audi/Porsche stuff can be interchangeable, the A-Arms look identical to the early 944 ones.

My father-in-law-to-be has a caddy we've been working on and it would be cool to put my old phonies on it and everything.

Is this custom-made hell or a relatively painless possibility?

The wheels should go on right now. I believe early VW has the same bolt pattern.

A buddy of mine has phonies on his beetle.

A lot of vw guys will use bolt on wheel adaptors/spacers

I've never done it, but I would think a spindle swap like you are talking is possible. I think early 944 struts are very close to (but taller) than mk1 vw struts.

You can get adapters to go from 4x100 to 5x130, they are pretty popular for getting phonies on VW's. Can't help you with the rest of it though. Considering the front suspension of the 924/early 944 is based on the super beetle it should be possible.
