Question Why coolant in throttle body on S2?

I went and took my S2 throttle body off my car so i could reseal it and when i popped the hoses off I was suprised to see coolant flying out. Maybe i am having a dumb moment, but I don't remember this when I resealed my turbo throttle body. Why is coolant running through the throttle body? What purpose does it serve? I am guessing it helps up the price of replacement throttle bodies in any case I am very glad I did this because the inner o-ring was broken and coolant was slowly seeping into the intake, at least I'm pretty sure that's where it had to go.

Warm coolant flows throught the throttle body to prevent icing, which is a bad thing.

it helped warm the air intake charge in cold conditions. Alot of people bypass this if they live in a warmer area.
