Difference in valving between Porsche m030 Koni rear dampers and Koni yellow sport?
This post is related to the one discussing whether I should replace the rear shocks on my 1990 Turbo (S), but I felt the question warranted a seperate thread in case anyone else has the same question.
The stock shocks 951 033 032 04 were set 1/4 turn in from soft whereas I see many recommend setting the Koni yellows (KONI-8040-1035S) to halfway between soft and hard.
I've also read that the replacement Konis have 3/4 turn adjustment from soft to hard whereas the original Konis have 1 and 3/4 turns. Is this comparison correct?
Is there any benefit in going with the original parts over the replacements?
