Is this alu strip supplied with the seal or is it separate. My professional fitter used glue/sealant to glue everything in the wrong place so now need to buy another set and fit myself as I know it'll be done right.
The aluminum trim pieces are p/n PCG-853-371-B and 372-B. The rubber outer seals are p/n PCG-837-469-A and 470-A.

I went the easy route on my 968. Had my body shop do it when they were repairing a minor scrape on the rear bumper a couple weeks ago. They also replaced the drip molding seals above the door whiel they wre at it.
Dropping off my 924S on Wednesday for them to do the same.

Clearly competent. Mine destroyed my new seals resulting in having to do it myself now.

Porsche certified shop, and they do fantastic work. I had them do the window seals in both my 924S and 968, as well as the upper drip-moulding seals, sunroof seal in the 924S, hatch seal in the 968, and they replaced the rear bumper gasket while they were repairing some very mild scrape-age that a careless neighbor put there.
As some point, I'll have them repaint and do rocker panel gaskets and front bumper gaskets. The discoloration of the white annoys me.

Your body shop should be paying for new seals....

Got drivers side complete using the first method above attaching clips to rubber first. Thank you for posting.

A couple of clarifications. Cutting the seal at the front was the first job to match the angle of the A pillar. Then tapping it as far as it would go forward allowed me to cut the total length. I used an old screwdriver to attach but the screwdriver was olmost horizontal to get the clip into its receiving hole.

Craig, when you do the other side, it would be helpful if you could post some pictures as I'll be doing this on one or both of my cars in the future.

Has anyone tried using outside double sided tape instead of those PITA clips?

I am thinking I could attach the tape to the seal and then press the seal against the metal that the clips would normally attach to.

When I did my window seal with the aid of the other contributors I was repairing the door card and the window winder motor, etc, as well.
Therefore I had plenty of access to the seal. You might be advised to leave the card off whilst testing your theory. I do remember that one
had to have fingers like a brain surgeon to use those "PITA" clips.
