Maybe it's not related to the transaxle work you did, but the gas tank work you did?
Honestly I don't think it has anything to do with the tranny.

yep starting to think maybe there was some more slug in the tank that I didn't come lose until now maybe , going to start pulling stuff lose Monday and see if I have any fuel restrictions.
we got the 944 loaded on the trailer and back home last nite.

Did you replace/inspect the "fuel tank strainer & gasket" when you put in the tank?
