Default Evaporator Temp sensor Early 944

Does anyone have the correct resistance readings for this part? I'm trying to figure out why my compressor won't engage. If i jump the wire clutch wire at the amplifier connection it blows cool. I replaced the amplifier with a used part (no idea if it actually works) and it didn't fix the problem. Everything else seems to check out.

I have the early setup on my 924Ss.

Is this the part resistance you need? 146.5 ohms

This is a good spare part and I have not used it. I guess the resistance should be correct.

Absolutely amazing! Thank you so much. Sadly I think that's what my reading was, but I'll run out and check.

It's the sensor. My resistance is way high. If i jumper the temp sensor connector, my compressor kicks on and blows ice cold.

I would if I had a spare. This unit has never been opened and I may need it in 10 years for one of my cars. I plan to be buried in my '88

Glad you found your problem.

Fair enough. Any idea where I might find this piece? Pelican didn't have it.

Thanks again for you help!

Pelican can get it. Double check to make sure my number is correct:

http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/...0TEMP%20SENSOR

An aftermarket interchange (VW Audi ??? )temp sensor should also work.

A local AC shop if you are near a large metropolitan area should also have it. ( or maybe a repair shop in the used parts department ??)

Man, can't believe I missed that! I guess it's because I was searching in the 944 section, and pelican only lists it in the 924 section despite being a 944 part as well.

I just need the temp sensor (thermistor) if you have it.

Yeah sure. How does $15 shipped sound? (USPS flat box is $5) The part is $22 at Pelican, so I'm just basing it on that. You don't happen to have a buzzer relay either do you? Or a parking brake switch?
