Default AC working but not blowing cold...

I am going to be removing my dash to recover it in the next few weeks and was wondering if there is something i could check to see why my AC is not blowing cold.

The AC is slightly cooler than ambiant but far from cool. The switch will turn on the compressor so I presume there is enough refrigerent (R134) in the system. I was wondering if there was a motor for one of the HVAC doors that may be at fault.

have you attached a gauge to see exactly how much r134 is in the system? the amount needed to run the compressor and the optimal amount are not the same values.

I guess more spacifics would help haha my bad

It is a 1986 951

I havent checked the pressures...I will probably be doing that soon. My experiance is that normally there is still gas in the system when it wont turn on so I think there should be enough to drop the temperature a bit over ambiant...but this is the first time I have trouble shooted a P car

Default re

Was having an issue with mine. Was blowing cold and then starting getting weaker and weaker. Told it to a local Porsche place and the compressor was only putting out 100 psi out of 200. Changed out the compressor and nice and cold again.
