Removal of factory security key assembly....Angelina Jolie naked.
Ok I lied,no pics of Angelina Jolie naked in this thread.
I took a page from Top Gear to make sure alot of folks would open my thread.
Two questions, first I want to remove the factory alarm key hole assembly prior to painting my car this weekend. Anyone know how this comes off? I want to make sure I don't put the alarm on by accident or anything.
And second....I STILL need to remove the horn wipe from the parts car. Any more advice how to get this $#@& thing off would be much appreciated.
thanks for looking guys,
michael

To remove the alarm key switch, first go ahead and order a new trim ring since you're will crumble as you try to remove it. Once you remove the outer trim, you'll see a nut holding the switch in place. If you pop off the vent on the door jamb, you can reach your arm up inside and get hold of the switch from inside. You don't have to disconnect anything, just let it dangle inside while you get the paint done.
If you want to remove it all together, just unhook the two wires from the switch and connect them back together - closed circuit= alarm off.
You can PM me the pics you promised.
