I am not interested in setting any speed records just doing some laps at maybe 60 to 70 % speed. will there be cars to rent? And if so how much? and when will you be able to get on track? Also Will there be a place to park my RV. It is 36 ft long Class A pic below
Track the RV instead

Reno,

I was thinking about taking the 8.1 liter engine and dropping it in the porsche and then taking the 6 speed Allison tranny and converting it to a tiptronic.... a 400HP NA with a 6 speed box. I think the RV may do better in the rally. Lots of ground clearance and dual wheels in the back plus I would not be hurt by top speed limitation of about 85MPH

I've been attending the Feast since it was at Dan's house in Mansfield and this year I need some help. I always come mainly to watch and bum a ride with someone when possible.. But this year ia a little different. I'm bringing a friend that is recovering form prostrate cancer (cancer free now) and would like to set up a ride for him. This would be his first ever car event that he has attended and I would like it to be special. Can you help? If you would like to help set this up, PM me and we can work out the details.
TIA,
Fred

For those who don't know, Travis was a sponsor of the epically-failed "EM50 Fest" in the past.
So he now has a soft spot in his heart for all RV's.....(especially if it is raining like a bitch outside).

I am sure a ride along will not be a problem. I don't think anyone who wanted one has ever been turned away in the history of the 944Fest, so your friend should be fine.

We have a group coming from SC and NC. As it gets closer I am sure there will be a caravan threads popping up, or take the lead and start one?

Every RV has a little EM50 in it. Wade, Are you going to make it out this year? We miss you man!!

I will probably be attending along with my 30 year old son. We plan on arriving either late Thursday night or early Friday morning if we can arrange to rent or borrow a track legal car. My cab does not have roll bar so I cannot run it on the track. Travis has given me a number for Brian who may have a car available. I have left several messages but have not heard back from Brian. I live in Columbus Ohio and will driving up in my RV with my son following in the Cab. I would gladly pick somebody up depending on where they live. I will probably leave on Saturday evening however. We am not interested in setting any speed records just doing some laps at maybe 60 to 70 % speed. If We are unable to get a car for Friday we will probably arrive Friday late afternoon. I anyone else knows of a car for Friday's DE let me know.

Fred - just track me down anytime that weekend and I will arrange for a ride along. Will have a wide assortment of cars with the instructors there so he can have his pick of anything from a 944 variant to a GT3.
